Hotel overview

Located just a short walk south of Aspen’s bustling Main Street, this 3-star bed and breakfast combines distinctive Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture with a welcoming, intimate atmosphere. Guests appreciate the building’s two-story layout and thoughtfully decorated interiors, which reflect a vintage Aspen charm. The absence of air conditioning aligns with the property's historic feel, but free Wi-Fi keeps guests connected throughout their stay.

The Hearthstone House makes a practical base for exploring local alpine adventures, situated within easy walking distance of Aspen Mountain gondolas and ski shuttle stops. “Had an amazing experience over New Years with wife at the Hearthstone House, would definitely stay here again. The property was cozy and in a great location, just two blocks from the action downtown and one block from the ski shuttle to various mountains. The breakfast was great and we loved spending time unwinding with other guests during the wine and cheese happy hour. The hosts were super knowledgeable and friendly and went above and beyond in every aspect (Shannon, thanks for letting me try your low-light ski goggles, really saved me on the mountain!). First time in Aspen but will definitely come back and visit our new friends. If you see this property has availability, just book it. I can't guarantee your flight into Aspen will be uneventful, but do guarantee the team at Hearthstone will take care of you once you arrive.”

“A perfect location, walking distance to everything. A great value for Aspen. It’s a warm cozy hotel where guests get to know each other over breakfast or wine in the afternoon. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms give you the vintage feel of Aspen.”

“Quaint BNB in Downtown Aspen, super close to everything and more affordable than most other options nearby (though still expensive, but that’s Aspen). Location is great; just a 8 minute walk to the Silver Queen gondola that takes you up Aspen Mountain and walking distance to anything in town. Staff was very friendly, personable and helpful. They have a Apres ski reception with wine and cheese every night (didn’t attend but looked nice), and a continental breakfast every morning with coffee, bagels, omelettes, etc. Small hot tub in front yard. Room was comfy, though a bit dated. Enjoyed our stay here and would stay again”

“Perhaps the friendliest place I’ve stayed, in a genuinely relaxed and welcoming way. There’s a level of comfort to that you can’t find in the most upscale of hotels. The rooms were cozy (small) but comfortable, and we enjoyed the breakfast, après ski wine and charcuterie, as well as the outdoor hot tub. Looking forward to enjoying the hospitality of Hearthstone House again on our next Aspen ski trip!”
